NC31 exhaust options
Hi everyone,
New to the forum, registered today. Have searched several times for different issues in the past and found good answers. But this time, the situation is this: I have a grey (i think originally 1995) cb400sf version R, nc31 and I need to replace the exhaust can. I have been sanding down the exhaust headers and painting them throughout the years but the tube just before the can has been replaced (due to rust) with a custom made one which is roughly 6,20cm/2,44 inches diameter and 19,5cm/7,48 circumference. Also it now doesn't have the original honda fitting with the 3 screws and the current can which is rusty and has holes in it (and i want it replaced) clamps over the pipe. So what would be the best option?
a) Buy a complete , short ,one piece 4-1 set maybe from japan webike?
b) Get an adapter soldered on (can't do this by myself) and then a standard can with the 3 screws like the original?
c) Find a can similar to the current one, with the clamp over the ''link'' pipe? Don't seem able to find any. If someone knows, please point me to the right direction.
d) Get separate headers and can, probably from aliexpress but still the most expensive option I think.
By the way, Id like the exhaust to be quiet. Yes, the loud sound at the moment sounds good, but gives me a headache after an hour or so, especially cuz 400 fours need to be revved out of town. Also Ive had this can for a while now, and the novelty of attention has worn off ages ago.

Re: NC31 exhaust options
I was in the same boat, bought my Version S with a loud aftermarket system and wanted it to be quieter.
Found a stock system on a Japanese sight (Crooober.com)
30 bucks for the exhaust, 230 bucks for shipping.
Yikes, but now i'll have an all stock bike, plus i can ebay the Moriwaki system to pay for it.

That looks good. My trouble is the current link pipe which is already welded on (custom made, basically two tubes welded together) and very wide (6.20cm diameter). Do you think I could find an adapter so I can use a stock can (or imitation)?
