Painting the engine

I'm having a bit of a rebuild session on the Mrs' NC. The gearbox ate itself on a trackday so fitting a replacement.

Thinking while the motor is out, I'll get it painted as it's all flaking off & I may never get a better opportunity to do it!

It's all in bits now (bit of a shop of horrors once inside) so am thinking of putting the motor back together (minus the internals), sealing any holes up & having it all blasted in work.

Then stripping it all again, cleaning it out & having it painted in 2K as close to the original Honda colour as possible.

Now, do I need heat-resistant paint or will boggo 2K be ok?

Anyone know the code for the original Honda colour, or a close automotive match?

Thanks,
Paul

Bikecolours do the correct colour in rattle cans . RS paints do it also for the rc30 if it's the same? believe some people have used Ford graphite grey although it's not an exact match Taking a casing to a paint suppliers may be worth doing if there's one nearby.
