Hi guys,

Bike needed new ignition barrel which i sourced from Graeme. Installed ,turned ignition and everything hunky dorey. Took for a spin and everything aok. Now a week later turned ignition and not a gig out of it, No lights on display at all. Checked fuse holder and 15A head light fuse melted completely. Found main fuse blown too. Removed melted and blown fuse, replaced 15A fuse then tried the 30 a with ignition off. Blew straight away. Now seeing as i have the bike 4 yrs and its the same bulbs that were in the bike when i bought it and low beam and high beams never an issue , i disconnected the ignition and fitted new 30 a main fuse. Remained intact. Connected ignition and neutral light and oil light back on. So i can smell not burning smell but odd smell ( hard to describe)from around cdi area.

I know there is an issue with different bulbs being installed and burning out relay but anyone any ideas??? Should say its an J model triarm. Never an ounce of trouble in the 4 years i have owned it.

Thanks in advance
