Hi all,

I have a problem with the 43mm (3tj I think) forks that I bought. Well I had several problems but most of them got solved.

I don't have the bolts that tighten the lower tree. I thought they would be metric but they aren't and I can't find the bolts online.

I know they are M12 bolts, I think 30 mm long, but I don't know which thread size. They are not metric.

If anyone has a link for the two bolts, or know what thread size they are I would be very happy to hear.

Thanks in advance.

Not a clear picture but you can see the bolts go in, in the outside of the lower tree.

They will have been metric fine = 1.25 pitch originally. Not a common bolt in M12
Are you sure you are not using 1.5 pitch which is easily available instead ?

If not; they could be whatever thread some oaf has retapped/ chewed them to .

You get the same craic with s/a spool mounts; people force in a 1.5m pitch bolt and destroy the fine thread.

Perfect thanks a lot! I didn't think about the fine metric but you are both right. I think I can easily find it around here, or maybe ebay.

I really appreciate your offer Evilchicken0, but I think it will be allright. It depends if the T piece will be straight or not since I'm sure the PO crashed it.. But I think I'll find that out when its on the bike.
