carb rebuilding

Just a quick question, Whilst reading some threads i read that there is someone on the forum that will rebuild your carbs for you???

I ask as i my carbs would benefit from a good rebuild. I have changed 3 of the O rings, i couldnt get the slide holder out to change the one on the bottom of that. And i changed the float bowl rubbers. But my bike runs lumpy bottom end.

It doesnt sound smooth on tick over

If you blip the throttle it will hang around 2500rpm and slowly drop down to 1k eventually

When getting on the throttle out of bends and you call for power it is just flat and then eventually the power comes further up the revs.

I dont have the tools or technical know how to sort it my self. i will take it to the garage to have the carbs tuned but would like the carbs fully rebuilt to eliminate any other issues.

I do love riding my gk76 though, what a fun bike!

i had problems getting the slider housing out too, so I popped one of the float bowl screws into where the main jet goes, tightened it in only a turn of so and just bopped it with a rubber mallet. it cant right out. as long s u don't hammer it into a pulp it will be fine

Try turning the pilot screws out half a turn that may help with the hanging revs.

Basically the same as what is happening to mine Scotty,

@dobbslc i have just done that so it is now at 2 turns out now and it does seem to idle allot better, just about to go on a ride out now, still poo when try to rev low down on standstill
