Re: cbr400rr nc29-carburetor settings
Hi and welcome.
Someone may move this to the CBR section for a better reply, but in the meantime if you can clean your carbs and search out a copy of a Haynes manual this will be a good start. the mixture screws should be 2&1/4 turns. If its an R model, 1994 0nwards, jets will be 106. But if you dont have a standard exhaust set up it may be higher, such as 108s. Also try a new air filter or if its K&N clean it, make sure you have no leaks on your carb rubbers and air filter.

2 1/4 turns - you wind them in all the way to the stop, then you turn them back 2 times then a 1/4.
Make sure you remove them 1st and check the rubber washer ( or o-ring ) is in good condition ) My settings were all over the place, after setting correctly it ran like a dream.

Re: cbr400rr nc29-carburetor settings
On the side of the carbs nearest the engine , if you look underneath you see a single brass screw ( one on each carb)
It adjusts the fuel/air ratio . Screw it in less fuel , screw it out more fuel.
From fully screwed in you turn it out 2 1/4 turns. (If you put a K&N filter on you'll need to adjust the mixture slightly.)
Also if you remove the brass screw completely there'll be a spring , a washer and a little rubber "O" ring behind it.
The o ring can perish.

106 is the standard main jet size in the carbs and 108 is the next size up, usually put in if you have any aftermarket exhaust parts or a k&n filter.archeo14 wrote:What is 106 and 108s....
