Jack-up kit fitted: the spring shock is touching the swing a
Hi guys,
I've just mount my jack-up kit to fit a 17" rear wheel on my french 30.
Once the bike on its wheels I noticed that the spring is touching the swing arm :-S
Actually, the linkage brings the feet of the shock (I'm not sure you use this word in English...) to the front.
I can ear the spring hurting the arm when the back is going up after pushing down it.
I've tested it with 2 rebuilt rear shocks with the same results. The both measure 310mm from eye to eye.
I may have made a mistake with thee linkage but I can't see which one... I guess the link which 3 eyes do not have the same thickness on each eye. So I don't know how I could mount it the wrong way.
Any idea?
I could take some pictures if it helps.
Thanks for your help,
Romain

Strange.
What "Kit" are you using to raise the wheel up? What shock are you using?
Pictures will be good, it can help :)
sounds like either the wrong kit or something isnt fitted properly.

Hi Neosophist,
I'm using Rick Oliver's kit with a stock and a White Power shock. The both were fitted on 2 VFR 400 with 18" rear wheel.
I'll have a look to the bike this morning and take some pictures.
