passengers?

Post by keithcar »

Im just curious about how you guys feel about having passengers on your VFR's?

Ive got an nc30, and my girl is always nagging me to take er out on it. I weigh about 170lbs. and she says she weighs 115 (but i think its more like 120-125).

i tell her the pillion seat is a novelty thing.. she doesnt believe me.

it was my nc30 that smellstevens went on the back of.
and i didnt believe him about how uncomfy it was, so i told him take me pillion on my bike, o my god its shit! thats the best and easiest way to describe it, just get a seat cowl or a single seat unit, then she cant pester you about goin on the back

William, i sympathise. i get that all of the time too. Im trying to convince mine to get her own bike.

I took her out on it once and it felt like rear tire was going to rub the subframe undertray. im sure it looks right comical us being both moderately tall and of average build, on a little bike like the nc30.

Same here; which is why the RVF has a single seat unit and no passenger footpegs!!! ;)
I do enjoy taking the missus on the back though and that's where a Bandit400 will come in handy!

To answer the topic's question: I think the passenger seat is just about adquate for a short trip to the shops, as it it quite small and without much padding either; so with that in mind I'd take her on the back for a quick ride and let her decide for herself how hard it really is on her bum! :)
When the mind is relaxed, the body will go faster! 8-)

I weigh 115lbs and love takin people out on the VFR (NC24)

I had my brother on the back who weights 180lbs and he was shocked at how well it pulled up a steep hill for a 400 :D

Mind you the NC24 seat is like the NC30 rear seat and crappy for pillions.

Hence my next upgrade is this:

NC21 seat with Honda Solo Cover
