new owner 92 NC30
soooooo
iv bought a j reg NC30 with 59000km on clock. the bike its self has not been ridder on the road since 2006 where it has been stored in a friends garage. started regularly and run til fans kick in. lots of history with the bike and just dropped oil and filter on it myself (standard for newly purchased :) ) only thing the bike needs for MOT is 2 tyres which isn't a problem.
very excited to get it back into former glory so was wondering if there is anything to watch out for ( mechanically / electrically) ?
any advice appreciated, joe

Buyers guide is a good place to start

Then get a hold of the service manual and read through the general maintance and maintance schedule and go from there.

if you haven't already, go buy a proper chain adjusting tool, dont use a hammer and a long screwdriver, this just chews the teeth on the hub.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

What is 'proper chain adjusting tool' ? I assume it's an nc30 specific? Do you mean the 'pin spanner' tool provided? A search on the net reveals a tool that looks somewhat like a rear shock adjusting spanner? Is that the one?

If you have the proper toolkit this will adust the shock and the chain as it has two pins in it.Kneewall49 wrote:What is 'proper chain adjusting tool' ? I assume it's an nc30 specific?
