Is it possible to make the seat more butt friendly?

Post by oliherst »

I appreciate that the NC30 isn't 'designed' for long trips, but we have all done it, and the bike is more than capable. I know many who have taken theirs to the ring, I have taken mine to Belgium, which is a pretty long way too. The seat is just sooooo ouch. I think 45 mins in the seat then my arse in numb. If you stop for a break, say 10 minutes or maybe a refuel, next time it's 30 mins then my arse is numb. It makes we twitch around in the seat which is quite frankly dangerous.

I guess if I went on long journeys frequently, my body would get used it, but I don't. Has anybody done anything with their seat to make it a bit more butt friendly? Maybe new foam and a recover? Maybe it's not possible, so that's why I'm asking :D
