Recently acquired a 3en2 track bike project, which I am going to be using for a few track days this year.

Just wondering what the stickiest rubber is I can buy for the standard rims?

Also could anybody tell me which model the swinging arm is from?

Thanks

Going to be BT090 if you can get them - it is a 150/60/18? if so, then BT090 all the way.

No idea about the swinger, though it has a brace as standard doesn't it?

yes they are 150/60/18. Thanks ill go for them then!

Ive seen models with and without the brace. The whole bike is a combination of different models, so the fact its a 3EN2 is only because of the frame number it seems.
The forks are 38mm with single pot calipers which i think are from a 3EN1 too?

Getting very confused with it all!

The swinger looks like 3en1 in that I'm pretty sure it is. The 3en1 had 4 pot calipers with 100mm bolt spacing, 38mm dia forks and 285mm dia discs. Twin pots sound like Genesis with 83mm bolt spacing.

thanks mate that helps a lot.
I also have a spare set of forks which are 41mm with a twin pot calipers. There is a possibility they might not be off an FZR but they bolt into my spare 3en2 frames yoke perfectly.

That looks like a Genesis frame there, what with the bolt on subframe and all. I'm pretty sure the 3EN1 frame had that section cast in, as did the 3EN2 albeit with the section that runs under the tank 'removed'.

Cheers. After further investigation the spare frame has frame number 082****, which is 3en2 and the one im currently running is 0081**, which is an early genesis.

My mistake as I thought they both started with 08!

I have a 17 inch suzuki 400 bandit wheel, which i was advised with some modification will fit. Would love to have a choice of the full range of sticky 17 inch tyres if its possible.
Going to have a measure up today at work, but might aswell ask if anyone has had any experience fitting one?

No experience of them - I did measure up a nc29 rear for a 3TJ though.
Problem was mostly around the brake disc being 210mm - its the smallest disc on any production bike (the NC's was 220 I think). The choice is to use the donor wheels brake complete or turn down the disc to 210, I did the latter.

You'll need to adjust the ride height, how much will depend on the tyre etc.
