My first trackday today at Lydden Hill

Well after a months wait and a lot of carb cleaning I finally got the NC30 out on track. All I can say is that the NC30 is a fantastic bike. I have owned 3 NC30's so I expected no less! On my first session it gave me tons of confidence and by the second session I was claiming numerous victims on the corners. I would say Lydden is the perfect track for the 400's as the straights are very short so the big bikes don't gain a lot, when they do sneak past, you are hustling them into the next corner like an annoying fly that won't go away lol.
I was also very impressed with the brakes which were extremely powerful and more than a match for the modern bikes. Clutchless gearshifts were also seamless. The only mechanical fault I had was the already blowing exhaust gasket deciding to blow a bit louder!
Poor guy in the pits next to me, former Bemsee F400 winner at Lydden, started his ZXR400 for the carb to overflow on the grid and dump about 5 litres of petrol by his feet! Lucky it didn't happen on track. Nice bike though, 72bhp Farnham blueprinted engine. He gave me a few pointers and helped me out which was good.
Also met a guy on here username 'egonski'. Very nice guy and was good to see someone from the forum.
I did find the NC30 was lacking somewhat in ground clearance, I was grounding out quite regular and my brand new boot is almost worn through to my toe. Jack up kit and rearsets next on the list, then maybe a shock. Anyway, enough rambling, heres a few pics for anyone interested.
Thought I'd get a pic before the first session incase I trashed it!

Getting nervous

Here goes

Caught up with this nice S1000R

BT090's after abuse! I was impressed with them.

My boy, another petrolhead

Me, my boy, my dad.

All in all a great day, best £100 I've spent in years.
