headlight relay help needed

Hi all I have a 1988 nc23 honda cbr400rr

The main beam does not work but high beam does

I've changed the bulbs and gotta new relay but still no joy

Any ideas or in for would really help

its probally the switch(after time the terminals get dirty/worn)or the wires coukd be shot.check the fuse!!

where did u get relay from?new or used.give the lh switch a good going over.you be surprised how shitty they get chap!

It is new and I'll have another go at switch gear


The relay clicks like mad when going from low to high beam

Is there anyway of buy passing this relay?

ah.if the relay clicks like mad.thats a sure sign of the switch.being faulty.or dodgy wiring.good luck

Lol ok I have a spare off a vfr800 vtec if that will fit?

It's just me and honda wires lol never get on!

SUCCESS! swicth gear wd 40 did not work so in the end ended up poring half a bottle of rubbing alcohol surlution down switch gear good blast with air gun and it now works

So wasted a £10 on a new relay for nowt lol
