NC29 Speedo Question #2
Hey chaps
I have an issue with my speedo where I get to "Er I'm really sorry officer" speeds and my needle waves all over the place.
Now do we think it could be the cable? or the clock itself?
Thanks in advance

Check plastic grommet in speedo drive if thats ok replace cable if that ok replace clocks.
They are all cheap enough 2nd hand
My money is on the grommet being worn

Re: NC29 Speedo Question #2
I would second the answer on the grommit but would also check cable oiling and routing especially if your using a speed converter as the extra length, how ever small may be kinking the cable just making it tight slightly. l had those problems myself. I found if I routed the cable correctly across the top of the rad I do get the odd jump in speed but letting it lie down the side of the rad it went away.
