What tyres for NC30

Post by Sabre »

Hey guys went to pump up my very flat tyres yesterday and the valve broke off in my hand!!
Front tyre was 10 psi so handling wasnt exactly great so didnt touch rear tyre for fear of limping home on 2 flat tyres.
I have BT90s on my CBR and reckon they are great but also been hearing great things about Pilot Powers.
Any advice?
Cheers

As it is an 18 inch rear your choices are limited slightly.

BT090 or BT092 ALso get Dunlop Alpha 10

depends if you are going to square them off or rag them to kill them!

in the last year i have had dunlop gpr70 and gpr alpha 10's fitted.
i now have bridgestone bt-014's fitted and find them very good.im now onto my 2nd rear and it cost me £117 fitted.im not entirely sure if this is a great price but im happy with it.
i believe you can get the bridgestone bt-016 in the rear 150/60/18 and they are dual compound,a little bit more expensive.

Maxxis tyres are the best budget buy to the best of my knowledge.

Hola

Was wondering the brands and models of tyres that are available:

Bridgestone BT090 or BT092;
Dunlop sportmax gpr10;

These are the only ones I can find for 150/60....Can I go to 150/70?

Why would you want to do that? It will throw the speedo out and also change the handling (probably for the better ironically...).

Dunlop GPR100's are also a decent tyre in 150/60/18, similar in wear and grip to BT092's.

GPR10's and BT090's are the stickiest tyres out there for an 18" rim.
