Racing an nc30
Has anybody on here raced or used an nc30 on track. I need to know a few things:
bike runs total loss so how long do you get before battery dies?
Whats the best battery?
Is there any wet tyres available for standard nc30 wheels and can you get sticky dry tyres?
Thanks

Re: Racing an nc30
Hi mate I race nc30's
Won bemsee sub64 championship on one last year
Total loss is absolutely fine, how long it last depends on a lot of things, battery quality ( steer clear of the cheap nasty crap) how many times you use starter motor or bump start, electric fan etc
I use my starter to fire up bike to warm up before we go out + turn off once warmed, again when go to holding bay + sometimes we get held in holding bay so I turn off + start again, theres still plenty enough in it after the race to start
Last season I used a lithium battery purely due to weight but have always used the stock ytx7, can use a ytx4 if your sensible with the starter
with regards to tyres there may be some 18 inch slicks + wets floating about but very hard to get hold of
17inch wets are easy as are drys, supercorsa pro come in a 120/160 which we race with as cannot use slicks
Theres a fair few 17" wheel options
Hope this helps

Probably have to raise the rear as it drags it's arse as it is.

most of this has already been covered in many posts if you do a forum search.mikeN wrote:thanks mate if I get a 17inch rear wheel do I have to change the rear suspension or does it just go straight on? cheers
You will be able to find info about how to fit the rvf nc35 linkage to correct the ride height, or even how to weld up and re-drill your existing linkage.

Re: Racing an nc30
As dobbs has already said they are low anyway you are likely to have have constant dragging of pegs otherwise, when I ordered my maxton they supply it longer , you could use the rvf linkage which I think makes up for it, would need to check though as ive never needed to know due to my longer shock, within next couple of weeks ill be supplying adjustable tie rods so that may be worth keeping in mind if your interested
