NC24 general questions / racing

Hi i got a few questions about my new VFR (Previously had a nc30) that im going to be riding around on next year and then possibly racing it.
I havent got a pic yet but im taking some tomorrow.
From the previous owner i know it was raced in the IOM but i dont know how it did or if any mods were made just that its suposed to be a 1986 NC24 rothmans replica.
Silly question but the front forks on mine have a anti dive device on the front right shock when facing the front of the bike that is attached to the brake caliper...... is this standard on the NC24? ive riden another nc24 befire and this didnt have the antidive thing and comparing the power, handling they are nothing alike with my one having firmer suspension than the previous nc24 and my other imports (i have had a nc30, and currently own two nc23's and a mc16 nsr250).
The bike is exactly like this
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/ ... h%2089.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Basicaly does anyone know what to look for on the bike asto any mods for racing as a IOM racer.
I am thinking of racing in the wirral 100 next year in the forgoten era not 100% on the eligibility, any ideas?

Yes they should all have the anti-dive system.
Maybe it has the proper oil / air in there, and maybe stiffer springs?

I have some rothmans lower fairings somewhere I may part with, if your interested i'll dig them out see what condition there in.
Where abouts are you? If your local I can have a look over it and tell you.

You need to have a sealed belly pan that can take IIRC the contents of the sump and coolent.
This probably means you'll have to modify any road fairing anyway.
You may get away with a different belly pan or entirely different fairing depending on class.

ooops I forgot to answer that part too haha!
I think ACU rules are Half the bikes contents of oil.... easy with some fibreglass. Or maybe kind of catch-tray, I think thats allowed too.
Other stuff you'll probably have to do to make it meet ACU specs.. especially if your racing..
Lockwire the following:
Sump Plug
Oil Filler Cap
Oil Filter
Remove All Side / Centre Stands
Drip bottle - no venting fluids on the track
Remove mirrors / lights / indictors etc if using road fairings

I couldn't remember how much, best place to check is the ACU handbook, available as a pdf off the ACU website.

I am in South Wales Carmarthenshire and im definatly intrested in some lowers.
Im not thinking of racing it to seriously its more for a laugh and to get my full acu license. i am going to be racing with the VMCC aswell on a BSA C15 more seriously.
The bike already has lock wire on it in most places and holes in the sump and oil filler already.
Does anyone else race their NC24 as would be good to see how they are doing.
