3TJ fork dust & oil seals

Hi,
Ive noticed the dust seals on the forks are popping out due to corrosion so I might as well service the forks. Does anyone know the correct dimensions for fork oil seals and dust seals ? Are the pattern ones the correct height or should I really get OEM Yamaha parts?

Also any recommendations about which are good or bad?

thanks

I've never heard anyone recommend anything other than OEM for seals.

Yamaha don't have a factory that make seals .... :o

I've heard wemoto send out Sp for the RR or the other way round anyway there's a difference they may have sorted it out.

True, but whatever the factory is sourcing seems to last far longer than what the aftermarket is sourcing...

This is what I was thinking, getting the inside and outside diameters right is simple, but if they send me something thats too deep or shallow.. :-x

Once Ive started a job like this I dont want to be messing about with the wrong parts

yep wmoto are good at getting it wrong :o

not sure which way round but 1 is 10.5 and the other is a mm bigger or smaller (think the rr is 9.5) check out my earlier posts, it's in there somewhere (it's a year since i done em)
or measure em when you take em out is probably favourite
just don't buy "extreme" (i think their called) or you'll be doing them again in 3 months, there crap

EDIT : check out a few ebay listings, 1 or 2 give you the correct seal sizes for your model
