Hi my plastic part snapped on my petcock so i remove it and now it leaking does the metal part from a suzuki gs500 fit in

Is it leaking from the bit in the middle of the pet cock, is there a small hole there ?
just check the discharge with your finger .... give it a quick sniff

ohhh is that what you meant.

Get a GS500 fuel tap and take the middle out.
Heres a cheap one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/suzuki-GS-500 ... t_48wt_721
Prise the chome front off each tap and swap them over, should take 5 mins once you've got the taps side by side.
