Hi guys, ok so I'm doing my 750 project looks like I'm going to have to run open carbs can anyone summarize the 400 carb setup please? Although I will be using the 750 carbs

Does the carb top plate fit between the frame rails? Any chance a cut and shut (or custom) airbox will fit? Maybe with custom foam filter, etc?

I'd be exploring every possibility before thinking about using open carbs, it'll potentially ruin the rideability on the road. What have the other 750 conversions done about this?

Which type of 750 carbs do you have? Metal (older) or black plastic (newer) slide covers? Maybe a possibility one model may fit better than the other?

Yeah looking at cutting the plenum plate, and maybe making a small airbox. Engine should be bolted into the frame today then will be looking at carb fittment
