Just wondering if putting an nc35 race fairing is a strait swap onto an nc30, I know the lowers are the same but would the uppers mount on the same or would i need an nc35 fairing stay etc? also would i still be able to get to the choke etc

rhory has explained how to fit an nc35 tail to an nc30 but i was wondering if it would be easy to go the hole 9 yards with fairing aswell as i really like the look of stickshift bike, perfonally i dont like stock nc35's think they look a bit chunky but sickshiftes track bike without the air vents and lights looks awesome

Yep mine's a 30.

It all pretty much bolts up. I can't quite remember but nothing a few minutes of thinking won't fix. You'll probably need to build up the back of the subframe (just bolt something on) for the pillion seat area to rest on or it could flap around a bit. All the standard mounts etc work.

A lot of track nc30's in Aus use nc35 race fairings because they're easier to get hold of.

I love the lines of standard roadgoing nc30's but some of the cruddy nc30 track fairings combined with double bubble screens make for ugly ducklings.

The upper goes straight on, but the front subrame mount needs to be spaced out about 12 mm because the NC35 nose is a tad longer.

As Stickshift says, probably 90% of Aus racers use NC35 fairings over NC30.

i am thinking on doing a Honda britain RC45 style bike as for superstocks they need black number boards and a plain red will be easy (and cheep) to do for my painter

also leaves a fair bit of room for me to put sponsor (yeh right) stickers, but i may be doing an advert for my painter in return for doing the paint for free or something, and i can hake the HONDA BRITAIN logo at college on their vinyl cutter for free :)

The mount for the front nose/clock mount won't fit the front of a standard NC30 frame - from memory, the points on an RVF are further apart. (Didn't try adapting a '30's clock mount though). The nose and mid panels are different, obviously, as is the tail section - which your best bet would be to fit an NC35 subframe. Not sure whether you'd need to buy an RVF seat lock either.

You'll need the rear subframe if you're planning to put a rear seat on, if not the nc30 subframe will do.

no the seat will fit on an nc30 subframe i just need to swap the lower subframe bolts for nc35 ones and add a small bracket that bolts to the seat unit just behind the seat (if that makes sence, its how rhory did it), this means i can dont have to swap sub frames when i go from my road fairings to track fairings
