Morning to all
Just completing my restore of my NC30. Totally twat question but can someone refresh my memory with the
fuel tap positions

. Is it when the writing is at its uppermost on the plastic tap turning thing lol that it indicates ( ON, OFF, RESERVE) ie so if the "Off" writing is uppermost then the tap is off ???????
Cheers in advance and sorry for the worst question of the year

Not stupid at all, I asked the question when I had my old CBR600 and was told the wrong way round!!! Grrr. That was a big bike to push.

As you have already assumed, and proved to be correct, the lever is in the right position when it's writing is at the top.
Then it is also the correct way up to read it, rather than being side ways or up side down, rather obvious I would have thought.
I paint mine for easy reading.

Bit of red for RES is also a good idea ive done in the past.

I put a small bit of red paint on the end of the pointy bit, so before I go out on track I just check that the red is pointing up which means its on reserve.

yeah, not a dumb question at all. I can't see mine behind my fairings, but the knob is not symmetrical. if you look, the short part points up when it is "on" and the longer part points down. when my primary tank is out, i just reach under and switch it while riding and can feel which end is pointed where, and do the same while they are filling my tank up.
