Right guys and gals - I have a pretty reasonable toolkit as it stands. Socket set, screwdrivers etc.. but with my NC30 facing possible spinal/frame damage (looks okay but looks can be deceiving) im looking to grab hold of what I am going to need to build mine up from a bare frame should it come to that.

What special tools would I be needing? And how do I get them without being crippled for the privilege?

For a frame swap on a NC30 the main tools other than garden variety wil be the castle spanners for the engine mounts and swingarm pivot bolt.
There was someone on the old forum making them, they are nearly always on eBay or you may be able to borrow them off someone cnearby.

What do people recommend for getting an NC30 up in the air in a fashion that allows it to be worked on easily? Seen someone supporting theirs with jack somehow along with some axle stands. ABBA stands a worthy investment?

Cheap one is to put axle stands under the footpegs and a jack under the engine.
Works better with rearsets than original footpegs but does still work (you just have less to locate the stands).

i went in today and the socket for the rear wheel is a 36mm impact socket (£9.50 normally) and the decent torque wrench is ($49.99 normally) came out as £45, we only do sockets up to 38mm so you'll need to source the top yoke nut one and hub nut (dont know the size but pritty sure its more than 38) seperately

type in the search bar 41mm socket and it comes up with loads,i always go for the cheapest which usually is the good side of a tenner.
i bought a 46mm socket for under a tenner BARGAIN!!!!

I've been using my Brittool torque wrench for many years now and I have to say its never put a foot wrong, even tho I abuse it terribly (I use it as a tightening wrench for torques much higher than its maximum measurement, as its the longest handled wrench I have). I got it from my dad and know it was about £75 4 years ago, so may be more now, and I think theres lots of sizes available.
