GSX400X Impulse idle problem

Hi guys, hoping someone can help me with my bike. Was running really well a few months back but has now developed a problem that i cant seem to pinpoint.

GSX400X Impulse - GK71E engine

Here's what happened.....Went for a spin one day and the bike dropped down to 2 cylinders. Replaced coils with another set and i think my problem has been since then. The bike will start ok. No problems until it is warmed up. It seems to be running hotter than normal and at a fast idle and then it will just slowly die.Will start after a minute or two. when running it seems to be ok and will rev out no problem.

Any ideas please?

If youve had the tank off to do the work you may have something running wrong.
I'd check the fuel pipes are not twisted, check the breather pipe etc.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Cant see anything twisted or disconnected.

HAd a look at the plugs today and 1&2 are pretty sooty and 3&4 a nice tan colour. So carb problem??
