73a pilot jet settings!!???

hi there,

Is there are standeard setting for the piolet jet screws that control the low runnign of my gsxr? Recently stripped the carbs to clean out a sticking float and while being distracted by the missus in the kitchen started to undo the screw for the jet on either cylinder 2 or 3 instead of the screw that holds the float bowl on  i tryed to guesstimate where it was and screwed it back in but my memory isn't to sharp. since i got it all back together it nedd the throttle pinning with my finger on the starter for about 5 secs before it picks up, and on the road splutters and bangs untill it hits 6500-7000rpm when it smooths out and runs faultlessly. Is there a way to set the pilot jets up or at least a base setting i can start from??

Thanks for reading the post and thanks in advance for any replies

Standard is 1 3/4 turns out.
Seems that might not be your only problem. My understanding is that that the moment you twist the throttle even a tiny bit you are no longer using the idle mixture as you would have moved to the main jet fuel supply :?:

thanks for the setting. i just can't see what else it would be, it was running fine except a float occassionally flooding a cylinder??

Badly set/dodgy float hights are supposed to mess up the fuelling too, it is the only thing I have not messed with in my carbs as they are running well for now and I don't know much about setting them properly anyway. :|
