NC23 Newbie
Hi all,
After collecting my new winter project yesterday thought I'd post a few pics. I managed to make a start on the dismantling last night, and i was quite surprised to see that it's actually in fairly good condition once all the plastics are off. There are loads of parts to replace, and the first thing to come off was all of the hideous gold bits!

It also came with a complete spare engine, which i will have to steal a few bits from to get the bike running, which should hopefully be this week as I'm keen to get some oil in it.
I plan to make full race fairings with a custom tail unit, but I'll probably make a set with light holes so i can still use it for the road too. Anyway i'll keep you all posted and I'm sure i'll have plenty of questions!
Cheers,
Matt

Re: NC23 Newbie
That actually looks pretty cool
Not a fan of the paint scheme, but it looks to be pretty good quality from what I can see in the pics. Keen to see what you come up with for the body work. Very nice project bike!
Oh, and I see you're running a dry clutch

Re: NC23 Newbie
I totally agree the paint scheme isn't to my taste, but i believe it must have been sprayed fairly recently and it does look like a quality job. Shame i'll be rubbing it all down!
It was a Cat D Right-Off, and from what i can make out the chap had spent a bit of money on it, just got a new MOT and then binned it! Poor bugger.
I'll post some pics when i make any progress with the fairings, i plan to take a mould from the originals first, so i can make some copies to play with and keep the originals for the road.
And yes, i thought a touch of old skool Ducati clutch would be a bit different on a 23, hopefully it will be just as impressively noisy!!!!!
