Hi,
Bit of help required
Are the studs in the rear exhaust manifold welded in? If so is the only way to remove a sheared stud by removing the manifold?
If I do have to remove the manifold what do I need to remove so I can get at the nuts?
Cheers

Yes the stud is welded on. Happened to mine (middle stud).
whole twisty section off, grind remaining stud off, drill out the hole, insert in stud/bolt and tack weld in place.

Cheers,
What all needs to come off to get the twisty section off?

I've got to do mine soon, as mine did the same but mines in the process of a bit of a strip down at the minute,
I removed my rear fender/liner from the subframe and that seems to give you a bit more access to that area, should be able to get at the manifold studs where they go into the head with a universal joint and extensions, if you do get them off then I'd replace them with new studs, nuts and gaskets for refitting the manifold, but as "hannakournikova" said, just grid and drill it out......then tack a new one in or source another manifold (ie. ebay), have it mind that this is a bit of a fiddly job.
