Mirror stays

Hey guys,
I'm trying to get stuff together to bring my NC30 back to stock shape, and I'm having a hard time with the mirrors. Maybe someone with a stock machine can straighten this out for me. The C-C distance between the bolts on my (non-stock) mirrors is 28mm, as is the CC-distance between the holes in my (stock-lookalike) Tyga fairing. However, I just got a new mirror stay (ebay chinese) and it has a C-C distance of 30mm. Can anyone tell me which is actually correct?

Also, since the bracket doesn't just have holes but short "pipes" that poke out into the mirror, do the stock mirrors have holes that these fit into? My mirrors are flat on the mounting side, so that won't work. (I assume that's why the old stay had those dremeled down...)

Thanks a bunch,

/Patrik

The mirrors dont have any holes.

The "pipes" as you call them fit into the fairing and screen to stop the mirror rattling around, like a spacer.

The stock bodywork is quite thick, perhaps the tyga one is smaller or the bracket has the pipes too long?

I have stock bracket if you need photo / mesaurement

Ok, that makes sense. The Tyga fairing is fiberglass and quite thin, so it's probably thinner than the stock one. If you could measure the C-C distance between the mirror bolts that would be awesome, I'd like to know whether it's the mirrors or the bracket that are incorrect.
