hi all,

been trying to find a link for a manual which works? probably just me being a moron?

could some nice person please tell me:

tire pressures
carb setting (mix screw and jet sizes)
fork oil type and level
best oil (full/semi synth) ('normal' road use)
plug gap

Set it up as the 3TJ service manual, except the forks.

Use 10/40 semi syth oil, remember the bike has to be upright not on the side stand when you check it.

Forks are 41mm dia .
523 cc 10 w oil (15 w is recognised replacement to try to compensate for weak standard springs by slowing valve damping)
I have an air gap figure of 90mm; but this does not seem correct.(the manual is Japanese and I cannot discern what this alludes to)
Spring length appears to be 333.5 cm with 328.5 cm wear limit.
(I don't run std springs on either bike.)

The above is for the 3EN2 - it has two round headlights with false air intakes below, they also have the clipons below a flat top yoke

That would be a Fzr 400R manufactured in '89 as in the title then Boris !
Plug is CR8E -gap 28-30 thou.

Manufactured yes, but a lot of these bikes have the wrong date on the V5 so better safe than sorry

True, Boris-just took it from the title that the owner knew what bike he had,but as you correctly state,many inaccuracies occur with registration.
