First things first, it's easy to say I suck when it comes to the electronics, but I have you guys haha, here's the scenario :

After a charging issue I found the regulator was the issue,once change there wasn't any drain...or so I thought...as the bike had been sitting for a few months (I run it hot once a week to keep the oil from sitting) I took it for a run, 5minutes in and only low speed she cut out as I changed gear...hit the kill switch, turned her back on and I have a dead battery, a few miles of walking, I get home, charge the battery, chuck it back in the bike, leave it over night to check to see if I have another drain, 13v before and after, run her and rev her till the fan cuts it around 110degrees check the voltage and again, no changes.

So m question to the guys good with wires, could you figure my issue out?

This is a continuation of your earlier electrical issue? What made you change the rect/reg? Your battery voltage measurements in the earlier post are confusing, did you repeat the battery voltage measurements after you changed the rect/reg and if so what were the results?

I got a reg/rec from wemoto (it was larger than the previous one) previously, I'd have 13v but it would drop and die over a few days, upto a week. I don't have any issues now.

I don't think it's a continuation as the previous issues are all gone, no deteriation of battery power, bike starts first crank etc. Only thing. Was this cutting out and left with a dead battery, and these past few days with the meter I havenr found any issues...

Are you keeping the bike on charge all the time it is laid up?

If you aren't and are just running it in neutral then the battery surely won't be getting a proper charge by the system and will actually be slowly discharging the bike, especially seeing as it's an RVF and the low beam stays on while the ignition is on.

At idle an RVF is barely covering what it is using, never mind topping the battery up after being started, and we all know how the charging systems can become inefficient over time, so if it's not in good nick it makes it worse. If you want to keep the battery in decent nick, leave it on an optimiser, or preferably take the bike out for a decent run. Not only will that keep the battery much happier, you'll keep the bike happier too. In the long run, sitting around idling or being blipped for a bit is not going to do it any good. Either use it, or lay it up properly if you aren't intending using it for a very long time.
