just been out for a ride on my 1989 nc30 with the 1989 rear shock and it was like a pogo stick!! I know I need another but what do you all recommend? I cant afford a new nitron etc so was thinking cbr600rr? what year do I go for etc and is it easy anough to fit? I don't mind modifying things to fit.or a shock from the later nc30 maybe? im 6ft and 13stone and ride road only but quick.

BMW S1000RR shock will fit with next to no changes to the bike, but you'll need a stiffer spring and may want to have it revalved.

ive heard that the bmw one fits but just thought that theres lots and lots of cbr600rr shocks on ebay that's all and cheaper than the bmw shocks but its an option,im just looking on ebay now for rs250/cbr/bmw shocks.

To fit the CBR shock you'll need to mod the battery box and get a much smaller battery I think.

If it we're me I'd be getting the BMW shock.
