R6 shock conversion spring rate

Is the standard spring rate for the R6 what should be used on the 3TJ?

I think it's too hard, with not enough static sag and have had the back wheel jumping up in the air on bumpy roads. Problem is it's already on minimum preload, so the only way to go is to soften the spring.

Does anyone know the spring rate on the standard R6 shock?

Oh and I'm 14 stone if that's of any use.

I know Laj Racing was using the shock with no compression preload on but that's a racebike.

Ask a suspension shop for a spring ... and also fit a collar to the top to allow the spring to rotate more freely (they had that in PB magazine)

I set the spring preload on its lowest setting which gave 5mm of static sag. It handles superb on the track but i havent ridden it on the road. Its a lot softer ride than my rsv (but that does rattle your teeth out on bumpy roads)!

you could always look at a maxton spring or similar that would be a bit softer and matche to your weight if it wont adgust down enough for you.
