Right not asked for tech advice for ages!

Cylinder 3 when i start from cold the exhaust warms up ever so slowly, unless i blip the throttle,

Ive cleaned and checked the obvious,

New plugs, valve clearances in spec, carbs balanced, float heights set, carbs clean, all pipes holes etc blasted with air line and carb clean, pilots set to 2.5turns

Im baffled any suggestions on owt else

are you holding onto the exhaust with a tight enough grip? Might not be feeling it getting hot enough?

Does it get better when the bike is at temperature?

Fine once bike is up to temp, the exhaust is cold/warm whilst cylinder 1 is untouchabley Hot!

It sounds rough like its running on 3 but blip throtttle and exhaust gets hot and fires to life

well, sod it - mine does it and I am so far past caring.....lol

No9 is a neglected old bastard, that is for sure..but once we are rolling..we are rolling and all works lovely. Idle is bobbins on it and I am sure it misses a cylinder. I'll check which one..it might be that cool bikes miss on 3..

Yeah could be just that,

what did you balance the carbs with?

out of balance carbs can cause this issue.

Have you ever compression tested the motor either btw?

Its never run properly right has it, in that you've always needed some odd setup to get it running somewhat ok compared to 99% of other stock nc30s so somethings up.

If its runnign ok I wouldnt worry too much about it

Gave in last week and bought some brand new carb tunes from morgan in belfast

I will get my arse into gear and get a compression tester and see if kayla can knock me up an adaptor but other than that bikes running better than ever
