Would this work in an engine with an oil control problem?
what is an oil control problem?krisztian_andre wrote:Would this work in an engine with an oil control problem?
Stuck piston ring, leaky valve stem seals or worn barrels/valve guides in other words it's burning a lot of oil and that's fouling the plugs especially that I mostly do short rides on it.Neosophist wrote:what is an oil control problem?krisztian_andre wrote:Would this work in an engine with an oil control problem?
That's right, I put 9's in, they're good except that I had to jet to 112/115 for some reason. The motor in not knckered, it just consumes oil.ethelstonns wrote:Are 9's not standard, an 8's for freezing conditions an 10's for sport
So knackered then.krisztian_andre wrote:That's right, I put 9's in, they're good except that I had to jet to 112/115 for some reason. The motor in not knckered, it just consumes oil.ethelstonns wrote:Are 9's not standard, an 8's for freezing conditions an 10's for sport
Don't get carried away, it can be just a stuck oil control ring, my compression is fine and I can change the valve seals myself plus 50 quid worth of parts. I can get 4 sets of rings for another 50.Neosophist wrote:So knackered then.krisztian_andre wrote:That's right, I put 9's in, they're good except that I had to jet to 112/115 for some reason. Worn bores = scrap motor.
Leaking valve stem seals = most likely financial write off
