Hey there, dont post often as projects have stalled for quite a while. however i've just managed to bag a couple of engines which need some looking at before one can go in the trackbike chassis i have. The most promising one was described as being a very good runner, but had developed a loud noise when in second gear. the guy i got it from speculated that it could be a problem with a selecter fork or loose shim or spacer. another friend suggested it might be a bearing on the way out. Anyone heard of anything like this before? The second engine was suffering oil pressure loss so might be a bigger job but would be nice to get them both back in shape eventually.
