As I'm still on my rebuild and reading just about everything I keep reading about the airbox rubber flap - what is it and does anyone have a photo to highlight what and where it is.
I have had a look on the microfische document on diagram F-16 for the air cleaner and I cant see any rubber flaps.
Please point me in the right direction if im barking up the wrong tree its just while on a rebuild its all accessable.

Part No. 13.
Sits just back and under the headstock, directs air under the carbs and protects the engine, think it also helps with airflow to the airbox.

Excellent, thank you very much. Keep reading about its abscence giving problems at high revs and track bikes having them removed. I will have a look when I get in from work tomorrow morning.
Again many thanks

It attaches to the frame 'crossmember' by cable ties just in front of the airbox.
When it's removed it typically creates fuelling problems mid rev range if no other jetting changes are made. It's amazing what you find previous owners have tried to do on some of these bikes!

Im almost scared to look but im sure it will be fine either way. If its missing I'll buy the parts and if its there then thumbs up and as Im trying to get the bike back to a good working order I will be asking more rookie questions.
Thank you cammo for the additional information - If all goes well Ill be following your carb setting up guide
