Changing gearing on restricted NC30

Was out on a ride today with Jetblack, his NC30 is full power whilst mien has 33bhp (ish) restrictions in. When i made a comment about keeping up he recommended changing the gearing for faster acceleration, is there a guide anywhere on the forum about how to do this? Including parts needed? Or can someone post a quick one here please? Would like to keep my speedo accurate so how to do that would be good to thanks.
Cheers
Ben

I was thinking that this may be a good idea for my bike too, but what are the cons / negatives ? They way I work it out it shortens the gearing by 6 percent but often standard factory speedos over read by about that (nc30?) so you end up spot on? Then the hear has to be slightly smaller in diameter (how much? And yes it would follow that's its 6 percent :) ) but does it cause suspension issues like extra wear and tear on the chain slider for example? Thanks

Youll have no problem dropping a tooth on the front sprocket. The effect on the already inaccurate speedo is marginal.

-1 on the front +1 on the rear....amazing difference!

Dont think it will make a lot of difference to it being restricted as the ammount of air going in wont change so the gain in acceleration would be lost as the carbs wont allow the extra air in
