Hello everyone i know you've probally heard this a million+ times but i was wondering if any of you out there are tall riders i'm 6ft1 and used to have an NC30 but was a killer on long journeys! was just wondering if any of you know if theres a size difference between the vfr and RVF? Also if there are any tall riders in here please give me a heads up on your advice and opinion

That is a proper mongrel...and never been worth 3k of any money.. The bodywork is all wrong for starters..

the 400s are small..If you want long distance comfort then you are going to struggle..but as you need to fill the tank every so often it is not that big a deal eh?

Well thank your lucky stars you came here before handing over your hard earned for that piece of crap, NC's really are not built for tall people but thats not to say you wont get on with one. Take one out for a test ride but please dont buy that one, if you wanna spend £3k on one then theres a member on here selling a real tidy one for the same money, her user name is emotevol or something like that.

the NC35 is smaller and more cramped than the 30 if that helps.
ignore the prices on ebay, they really do not sell for that kind of money regardless of what some dealers may tell you.

Depends, if you ever want to sell it, then originality works well. by that i mean original paint and panels often make or break a sale later on.
are you determined to get a RVF ? the NC30 will actually possibly cost more for a good example, but are far easier to sell on later, and IMO a better bike in many ways too.
That said i seem to now own 3 RVF's and 1 UK NC30 so ignore what i just said.

I have owned both models and I find the NC35 more appealing for it's styling (and overhere for it's rarity). That said the NC30 does have a little bit more fun as it is not that "narrow" build compared to the NC35. Maybe it is just a feeling from me. The long trips I made on both of them (in between 600kms to Luxembourg on Nc30 and even the for me longest so far 3500kms on my NC35 all the way to Italy and Austria) does tell me that the NC30 is little bit better as for the rider positioning. I am not as tall as you are. But on my NC35 I do have raised the rear with alloy block underneath the rear shock top U-piece with 30mm (this is more than it is written as per HRC manual) and I still can get both feets on the ground, and this proves me more sharper steering.

Best option would be to test ride on a NC30 and NC35 (not especially on ones you like rightnow, or you will maybe buy one based on your emotions...) and overthink your experiences and what you really want in a bike.
