Front brake discs for NC30 with black carriers

I've got a type 4 NC30..
The front disc carriers are black, well they've been painted with black hammerite using what I can only guess was a stick.
I've been looking at replacing them with new ones but most of the carriers are gold. Armstrong do a set of wavey discs, with black carriers, anyone tried these? I'd like to replace the existing carriers with original looking items if possible.
There's a second hand pair of arashi wavey discs on egay with black carriers, are these any good? I've seen on RO's price list that he stocks arashi but with gold carriers.
Anybody got a link to a pair of discs with black carriers?

Think I'll send the first link a message, see if they'll do the carriers gold

Just a slight caution with the zone products discs - I used a non-floating disc from them as a replacement on a GPZ500S i was using as a hack a few years ago and the billet steel they use for their discs will rust.

Surface rust or more serious?
Surface rust isn't a problem for me, I'm just looking for something usable

mmmm, £100 difference. I'd seen the Armstrong discs but wondered if they were worth the money. I'd not seen the zone discs.

Well, they didn't rust away to dust if thats what you mean so yea, surface rust :).
They're somewhat akin to the old style EBC discs in that if you put it away after riding in the wet you'll have to 'break' the pads free of the disc if left for 24 hours. Leave it more than a few days and it's a rubber mallet on the calipers to free them.
Braking performance wise they seemed ok with sintered pads, i did about 12000 miles on the one i had and it didn't warp as far as i could tell. The GPZ only had a single fixed disc with a 2 piston sliding pin caliper so the brakes were pretty poor even with a braided hose.
The center rusted up pretty good after a while despite the geomet coating but that shouldn't be an issue with the floating discs on carriers.

Well, I've ordered a set of the zone discs to try them out.
Cheers for the help.

If you want gold, try these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-GOLD-Fro ... 4d0ae16ac5
I got a pair the best part of a year ago. They don't turn into a rusted heap of crap like the EBC ones, and have gone through winter including sub-zero temps without warping like the EBCs did for good measure. Recently, they have developed some very minor rust patches, but nothing dramatic, and I've never had the pads stick. Yet...
Probably best to watch the seller though, these were normally advertised BIN for £200, and no-one ever bought them. However, every once in a while, they'd do a straight auction starting at £100, and people formed a queue to pay exactly the starting price and no more... lol

Thanks for the link speedy, but I just can't stand wavy discs on the VFR's , doesn't look right to me.
