NSR Rim vs RVF rim upgrade

Hi everyone,

live in the USA and no one here is much help. I obtained a NSR Rim for my NC30 for a 17" conversion and want to know if anyone has done the same instead of using an RVF rim. I compared the rim to an RVF and I notice there is only a slight cosmetic difference between the two , the spoke on the NSR seen to have a little sharper edge thatn the RVF (I dont know why HONDA would make them different). I bolted just the rim on and seems to fit just fine , but hesitant to mount it with tire and all in case there is something I am unaware of. Please let me know if anyone has been down this avenue

Many Thanks from the states
Gary

Same wheel unless its off a NSR SP in which case it will be a magtek (of sorts) but will still fit as per normal.

Im sorry to still be on the subject but, the previous question I had was puting a RVF rim on an NC30, Today's question is about butting an NSR rim on an NC30, and im sorry for posting but for anyone who is reading this, but the NC35 and standard NSR MC28 SE rims are not of the same cast, the "spokes" are a different shape. On then the RVF, the Dish "rim is different than the NSR the RVF has a different "slope" from dish to spokes its thicker, the base of the spoke from the NSR are sharp and not round as the RVF they have sharper corners and has less mass from dish to spoke. Im only asking in case this small variance are for a reason and maybe the NSR rim ( made with less material) might be for a reason and not meant for the weight or power of the 400 and I apologize for posting this question and it might sound repetitive but all the ready I have done looking though previous posts does not answer the question, Standard NSR rims are not the same cast as RVF rims, if anyone here has both please verify and put side by side , I was just wondering if anyone has knowingly put a standard NSR rim on an NC30, this is what I need help with. sorry if i caused any unnecessary debates.

warm regards
Gary

Gary, the NSR SE rim is the same as the RVF rim
Both look slightly different to the standard NC30 rim as its slightly smaller obviously.
my 28SE wheel was identical to my RVF wheel, and my 28SP magtek looks similar bar the metal plate on the crush points and the smooth rims.

that's quite ok - now get it fitted and go scrub the tyre in
