I have a hrc box on my bike that plugs into the cdi unit and then to the loom....
Anyone know what its thete for? Removes some sort of Restrictor????

No, you are the first person other than myself that I have ever heard of of having one, they are very rare. They are just derestrictors though so arent worth much really.

No you wont need to change your CDi, just unpug the HRC box, however then your bike will most likely be restricted

No as Yakama says there very rare and im a whore for rare parts lmao, was just messing mate.
I have a ignitech cdi with hrc map on that desrestricts it anyway, but would love some hrc bits lol
