Panel repair or buy new

Does it work out cheaper to have cracked and scraped panels repaired and repainted with new decals or cheaper to buy new?
My left bellypan, mid section and tail section have crash damage, not too bad but needs sorting.

well if its possible to get them for your scheme i guarentee that you will be paying around £ 100 to £300 per panel, a nose cone considerably more. Just stick a couple of part numbers into David Silvers part search and recieve a shock. what type 1 to 8 have you?

I have type 8, looking like £600 for mid + bellypan.
Any idea how much it would cost for a complete respray + new decals for these two items?

If respraying and keeping type 8 graphics you will have problems matching the graphics if only doing two panels, as from what I can tell imageworks is one of the very few places that will print these. Sadly they wont be 100%. There was someone recently re done their bike in a type 8 scheme with imageworks decals maybe search them out for a better look. I think Honda oem decals are still available but a long wait time and very very expensive, maybe as much as a ready done panel. Rear panel are the cheapest, think they cost me 120 each for a type 7.

I am considering taking the bike to Rapier Paintwork in Hull for an estimate. Then I will make a decision whether to buy new, repair old or maybe have a go at repairing and repainting them myself.

Post some pics of the damaged fairings mate, so we can decide whether or not your biting off more than you can chew if you have a go yourself?
