Has this ever been achieved and do people think it would be a good idea? Nice way to get together. Have a beer and that. Bit of camping , organise a ride out to go with it maybe? Just a thought.

I will have a look around for places, to be honest, squires cafe near Leeds is free to camp, if you eat and drink the beers. But I will do some digging.

Good for you pal, fill your boots. Been tried a couple of times and in usual time honoured tradition - everyone says they will come, but actually no one turns up.

I think it's a great idea. Turned up to the "last one" that Jo went to the trouble of organising, but as Paul said, lots were up for it but only the odd few turned up at various times during the weekend. Everyone missed each other. The Bruntingthorpe thing last year was something I really enjoyed, not just the biking bit, but getting to chat with & meet new people. Deffo should be something thats sorted.....go for it indeed. Maybe tie it in with an event somewhere?

It kinda puts me off a bit if I try and organise something and nobody turns up lol. I will have look and have a word with a few people I know. Why do people say they are going to come and don't turn up? Lol

I see squires are pretty quiet in July, could have a word with them maybe and advertise it as a grey import meeting. I'm sure it will get plenty of Interest. Camping is free as well. Big pub, I camped there a couple of years ago, easy to find, just off the a1 near Leeds.

I think its a brilliant idea tbh, last year at brunters was a fantastic day and without a doubt my favorite event of 2012, not because of riding around a track or being featured in a magazine for me it was meeting everybody and seeing some of the great bikes on this forum all in one place.

Personally i think the reason why that was so successful was because its in a nice central location which was relatively easy for everyone to get too if they where from up north or down south, the weather was brilliant which allways helps and it was well pulicised.

A meeting at squires sounds a good idea but the 160 odd mile motorway journey for me is a no go from the start even if i could camp there. Most of us are either too tall, lardy or downright lazy to ride that far on such small bikes which is a shame because i have no doubt it would be a brilliant day out.

So i think for us to start a succesfull rally it needs to be quite central in the country, be well publicised and most importantly have good weather. Its all well and good me saying this but id be too scared of organising something incase it falls on its arse.

You need to give people a reason to come and maybe arrange something where a deposit is taken. The distance doesn't bother me, I couldn't think of anything better right now tbh than a few hours in the saddle. To be fair the fact that camping has been mentioned has sent some running for the hills already.

I reckon that regardless of the kiddies and the fact my bike is not even in 1 piece right now would not stop me getting it sorted for a good enough crack.

I would be all up for a TD but there is a dearth of people willing to ride them it seems and they are not as cheap as they could be. (unless we go to Lydden?..cough)

I've been 400 miles in a day on my NC..not worried about that at all though I have only done 100 miles on this motor and it needs a clutch,,

The even Jo put on was bad timing for me - I was elsewhere. Otherwise I would have been up for that. Camping - Yes, it is cheap, you have a good crack
Trackday - ideally..lol
Ride out - yes, why not - but an agreed level of dickheadery* only. Do not want any dumb twat making stupid riding errors

Let's see what summer brings...if there is a bit of sunshine then I'll gladly ride somewhere friday night, camp, play out on Saturday, camp and then ride home. Has to be a point to it though..I;ve met most of you anyways..lol
