As above, NC23 CBR400RR.... Been starting it up on a weekly basis while I'm having lessons etc.. It can take a minute or so from cold but always fires up and stays running.

Went to start it today, normal procedure, got it to idle and cut out as it was cold.. But after a few normal tries, there was a sort of pop/click sound behind me (I was obviously at the dash) then the electrics just went completely..

Got out the Haynes manual, checked the main fuse, it's fine, but also tried to the spare fuse too and still nothing..

Any suggestions?

i had same thing at one point mate. turned out to be main fuse but obviously not in your case! You checked the battery leads are all on good and proper?

Yep they're on good and proper.. Gonna get the battery tested to see if any faults lie there.. Just weird that it happened suddenly..

Fixed!

The permanent lead for my charger I had connected to the battery must've been shorting, which is weird cause it has it's own 15a inline fuse that hasn't blown... the main bike fuse is a 30a...

Anyway, removed it, reconnected battery, bike started. Happy days!
