Hope some one can help
Just got 1990 3TJ giving it a good clean and TLC
Removed al the headlihgt faring from bike to repair crack by wing morrors
Had to disconect wiring loom
After refitting faring reconnected wiring loom but mixed up the 2 9way connector blocks with each other
Indicators and relay buzzed when tuning on with key a couple of times then nothing
After realising my mistake and swoping connectors around and trying key again and still nothing. No ignition lights no activity in any way.
Checked all fuses all OK and battery has charge
Please Help

have a look for some chared cables. i would study the wiring diagram and work out exactly where the current went and the go from there swapping out units until it works. Try tracing the 12 volts from the battery and find where the block is with a multimeter.

does the ignition come on at all,if not then try the main fuse!!!!!
it may have blown if it has one,i presume it has.i dont have this bike in particular but check the manual and see where it is suituated and check it.its usually a 30a fuse and sometimes there is a spare along side it.

I did the same thing on mine 2 weeks ago. Felt the wires getting warm as i plugged it in and unplugged immediately. Had a slight bit of charing on the sky blue wire (goes to neutral light/switch and also the starting circuit cut out/fuel pump relay) near the plug but none elsewhere.
After i replaced the fuse the bike would only turn over with the clutch pulled in. It turned out that i had damaged the starting circuit cut out/fuel pump relay. Luckily i had a spare and now all is ok.

Got away without doing any damage I think so far all systems are working ok.
Its a bit of a bad design worked in electronics for many years now and you never put the same type connectors in the same area or fit some type of keyway so you cant do this.
