Quick front wheel knocking diagnosis required...

Not had time to get front wheel off, but having a ganders at this video, is the general consensus that I'm ordering some new front wheel bearings from Rick?
Had a knocking for last few days at front wheel, read up on here that it the main causes could be mudguard mounting, something in callipers or wheel bearings so I took the first two off, still getting my knocking as heard in video below

Also will I need anything else apart from 2 new bearings? Is it recommended to replace anything else with bearings?

Cheers!

Replace the seals? Id just do one thing at a time, it could be a number of things but the important thing to check would be the bearings, also the head bearings, then onto the brakes, and fender mounts.

That's certainly the wheel bearings, I personally wouldn't be riding it until it's fixed.

So I got the wheel bearings out, finally, the right side bearing was rusted in, only to find this beauty... Is this dangerous? It's a chip out of the inside lip where the bearings push up against... looks like it's been like this a while, all the edges are dull and even coating of grime, so didn't seem to affect the bike before this whole knocking and dodgy bearing fiasco (which by the way are the grittiest things ever to rotate, clearly needed replacing)...

Yes! The wheel (or axle) might eventually fail.

Best to start looking for a new wheel, check over your axle carefully too.

At least it's an easy fix.

Well I went ahead and put the new bearings in and put it all back together as I need it to commute on asap. The previous problems are all gone, axle was perfect, all seems fine, however I will be keeping my eyes peeled for a front wheel, hopefully get one ready for next tyre change.

Cheers all.

You might possibly be able to get that repaired, although I suspect a 'new' wheel from eBay or a forum member would be cheaper. It certainly looks like at some point someone has been rather violent when removing the bearings judging by the state of the rest of it!
