NC30 Brake Upgrade Advise Required

Did the 1st track day on my 1992 NC30.
The bike is excellent, but the one thing which will need some looking at is the brakes.
What are the recommended upgrades? What do I need to buy? I'd like to improve power and feel.

start with braided brake lines new fluid and new pads, then if there still not good enough you can easily fit sp1/cbr600/fireblade calipers and a master cylinder to suit, then if you still want more (doubt you will) you could go for a usd front end and a radial brake setup

I agree with Spike. Aus racers can't change calipers, disks or master cyl (within reason) and they ain't slow. I've never wanted anything more from my standard brakes with braided lines. I did try a radial master cyl off a GSXR600, but lost a lot of feel. Oh, and a caliper and master cyl rebulid goes a long way.

i race a rvf 400 and to be honest ive never had a problem with brakes, they're standard calipers but with braided lines and race fluid. It lifts the back wheel up under hard braking so i dont see the need for bigger brakes. As long as everything is working correctly like the pistons are free and clean and the fluid is changed when it should be i wouldn't have thought there would be too many probs. Braided lines are a must though.

Sounds like they just need fettling then, Sounds like i'm making myself sound like the king of the late brakers (or is it breakers?) which I aint!! To give you a bit of background info, i'm 33 been riding 2 1/2 years and done 4 trackdays.
It was only braking down the hill into Mansfield @ Cadwell that I struggled with it.
I met the last owner today, he raced it (I think with DP) and never had a problem with it. He says the discs are standard, the fluid is new but maybe it is ready for some new pads. It already has braided lines, so i'm going to treat it to some top quality pads and try again (Which pads do you reckon I need??)

Although they're not as good as the RVF's they're still pretty damn good.

I like the Nissin (OEM) pads on the RVF but that's nominally a road bike that gets used on the track, my SV I used Bendix pads and they're ace but then again that has 320mm discs and 6 pot calipers!
