Hey guys, please don't flame me for this i know there are other tyre threads but i'm looking for fast answers.


Well my NC35 needs new tires the shops around here are offering me: 110/60/17 front and a 150/70/17 rear saying that these will be ok. Are these ok for the NC35? I do alot of high speed bends. And i just want to know if they are ok or not?

120/60/17 and 150/60/17 are the original tyres used should i still hunt these down?

The bike will certainly handle differently with these tyres fitted. Sounds like the shop just wants to get rid of some old stock...

A 150/70 tyre will look like a balloon fitted and will also throw your speedo reading out.

Stick with the original sizes, these are a common size so go elsewhere for them if you have to.

hi mate i literally have just got back from a tyre shop. i just got dunlop gpr12 (alpha12's) in 120/70/17 front and 150/60/17 rear. they run fine for me. i got them in adelaide but they were $378 fitted. be sure to shop around as many shops charge bullshit prices. try moto dealers too as they like to under cut the prices of sole tyre shops. the dunlop part numbers are front : FIDJ01217127 and rear : FIDJ01217156

No in a nutshell, the 110 is designed to run on a 3" front as fitted to the NSR and RC30
And as for the rear - just dont do it.
buy the correct size tyres. simple as.

Standard sizes aren't exactly hard to get hold of for the NC35, so tell them to shove the 110 front. It's not like the 30 where rear choice is limited.
