will a ducati single-sided rear wheel go on to an nc35 without any major modification???

you'll have to ask Smev...he fitted one, I think, back in the day

it wil need modding and the questions would be why bother? Uless it was free, lightweight and in your garage already

916 has the same spacing as an RC30, dunno if that helps or not.

Guy here http://www.sv650.org/mvsv/mv-sv.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; fitted a 916 wheel to an RC30 hub/swingarm (on an SV650!) and needed to spacer it out to get that to fit, I'd suspect the NC would struggle to fit it.

It can be done!!





A spacer needs to be made to space the wheel away from the swingarm and chain. It is needed mostly to ensure the wheel doesn't touch the disc bolts( the NC30 wheel has a cut out where the nuts are) It needs to be 4.5mm thick.
I seem to remember from my bike that there were a few issues with the tyre hitting the subframe when the shock was under alot of compression.

I think I have the rough shape of the spacer somewhere on disc.

This obviously sounds like it upsets the geometry of the bike but it seemed to handle fine to me! But then I'm no Rossi to notice any differences!

smev dont be so modest i saw you at that track day, you could have taught rossi a few things ( that was until the blade with a pillion came round the outside of you on my corner )

my bike is jacked up and the shock is running quite stiff so clearance shouldn't be an issue.

I jacked up the seat unit by lengthening the lower struts of the subframe. This stopped any rubbing of the tyre on the subframe.

It also gave me room to fit the underseat exhaust system.

I'll dig out the rough template of the spacer and post it up either later today or tomorrow as I have a day off work.
