it feels like my nc23 is breaking down under load at 6k-8k in 3rd I mainly notice it, it feels like it hitting a limiter and misfiring but then it shifts again if you back of a bit and get passed 8k, it revs up freely in neutral with out any problem, its got the resistor mod and I have a dic aluminium exhaust system, the carbs are rejetted to 110, i've taken the spark plugs out and they are running fine, just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem or got any ideas, it was all fine when i took it out on the first ride but noticed it on the second and got worse on the third time out,

check for loose/burnt/corroded/bad connections relating to resistor mod & or the associated wiring from clocks back to CDI.

yea I'll check all that in a minute, I don't have any wiring in the clocks as the previous owner removed it all but with the resister in I've not had a problem with it before

From the clocks hun, not in them...
you'll be surprised things work loose on a bike, wiring joints break, the resistor may not have been fitted (soldered?) right.. a mouse may have chewed through it.. all sorts.. ;)
